This is the situation on a daily basis after the water is released in the pipes. These leaks have been occurring for over 6 months and no official has inspected or even assured of any action. The government warns against malaria and dengue but I suppose situations like this don’t pose any threat!! In addition soil from the ground on one side is washed to the other side and had filled up the culverts causing swamp like conditions.

While our local representatives continue to fight over their jurisdictions, we are forced to live with situations as seen in the pictures. The water seen is not from rains but from leaking water pipes.
