PANJIM: The Crime Branch (CB) sleuths on Sunday questioned two former chief officers of Canacona municipal council at its headquarters in Dona Paula in connection with the fatal collapse of under construction building.
Officers Pradip Naik and Deepak Desai were quizzed for around two hours by two separate teams of investigating officers. Both are asked to appear again on Monday.
Crime Branch is investigating into the building collapse which killed over 30 labourers on January 4, 2014. A core team is formed to trace the whereabouts of two absconding builders.
Deputy Inspector General of Police Dr O P Mishra has refused to admit the delayed police action saying three persons including senior government officials are already behind bars in the case.
