What is the path forward for Goa and Goans?

While Goa celebrates its 60th Liberation Day, International Center Goa (ICG) hosted a development dialogue, reimagining and reinventing post-COVID India and the stars who enlightened the virtual audience with their varied and vast experiences were Padma Vibhushan and former Director General of Council of Scientific Research Dr Raghunath A. Mashelkar and Padma Vibhushan and nuclear scientist and former Chairman of the Atomic Energy Commission of India Dr Anil Kakodkar, who both have strong and deep-rooted links with Goa. Dattaraj Salgaocar, Vice President, The International Centre Goa and Chairman of VM Salgaocar Corporation Pvt Ltd moderated the entire programme after the ICG President Yatin Kakodkar introduced the star studded speakers. VIKANT SAHAY attended the event which discussed majorly about how Goa can change its destiny for a better future

In the last Goa Liberation Day, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant had announced that the recommendations would be implemented. A 17-member team chaired by Raghunath A. Mashelkar with eminent personalities like Vijay Bhatkar, Anil Kakodkar, architect Charles Correia etc, had submitted “Goa Vision 2035”. The ‘Goa Golden Jubilee Development Council’ (GGJDC), constituted on July 26, 2010 had submitted the vision document to then Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar on July 11, 2012. Ironically till date, the report has not been implemented.
