Two held on assault charges

Mapusa police on Tuesday arrested two persons on charges of assaulting a resident from Guirim.
According to Mapusa police, Uttam Vazarker and his son Sudesh have been arrested for allegedly assaulting Michael Lobo, while the third accused was reported to be absconding.
In a police complaint filed with Mapusa police, Lobo stated that Uttam, Sudesh and the third accused are parking their vehicles in his property. Since Lobo had objected to the parking of their vehicles in his property, the trio on Tuesday morning confronted him and later assaulted him. Lobo sustained injuries on his head. PI Manjunath Dessai said that the accused were arrested under Sections 341, 504, 324, 506 read with 35 of IPC.
