There is a simple message on this Christmas day. It’s a message to find hope out of despair. And there is hope on the horizon for Goa. And it is in our hands. Goans can collectively decide across the state what each one needs to do is give Goa people-centric governance.
And this is not for small benefits or village-level power. Decisions like this must be governed by one reason alone. Goa is bigger than all of us and to serve this end, we need a government of the people, not a coming together of individual power centers and power brokers

Why is this needed? Because without a unified approach of the people, not parties, Goa’s destruction cannot be stopped
Isn’t this a fact that across villages and small towns, many pledge their loyalty to one politician or a group? They are called supporters and their political and social universe centers around this one politician. Their futures sink or swim with this one “leader”. They think nothing about Goa, her future, and her vision. But can supporters of individual politicians ever get the big picture and think of Goa. Will they be able to ask the right questions? Many politicians say this before taking any decision, “I will ask my supporters”. But do supporters really tell the politicians what is good for Goa, or what is good for them? This is happening across Goa. And if that is the case, then are people thinking about what is best for Goa and fighting for it? The answer is a big no.
Let this Christmas be a time to think differently. To reclaim Goa’s identity, you must reclaim yours.
You are not a number in a vote bank. You are not a member of a line outside a politician’s house or office. You are not here to ask but claim by right because the Government runs with your money.
This Christmas may each one get this enlightenment. So that all can claim their identity as Goans, as tax-paying Goans, daughters, and sons of the land and custodians of its resources.
YOU ARE THE MASTERS. SO WHY ARE YOU BEHAVING LIKE SLAVES?
Finally, as masters, let us behave and act as masters. Not at the feet of politicians but looking at them in the eye. And if you do not exercise your rights and come together to elect a people’s government with an open-minded leader who will unite Goans, Goans will remain slaves of their political masters and speechless observers of Goa’s destruction.
This is a joyous time. Of Resurrection and rebirth. And the triumph of the spirit flying on the wings of prayer and sacrifice. Goans want to be united to stop the forces of destruction who have turned Goa into the mess that it is. Stop letting politicians dictate. Take the future of Goa into your hands.
