Beggars and vagabonds abound in Vasco

It is a problem that every town in the State faces and Vasco is no different.

It is a problem that every town in the State faces and Vasco is no different.
Beggars and vagabonds are found on the pavements which they probably consider their home. They are mostly beggars who from their meager daily earning manage to have something to eat on the pavement.
At nightfall they sleep under the open sky. Shabbily dressed and carrying whatever belongings they have, such vagabonds are seen almost everywhere.
They beg at crowded places like the market and then spend the night on the pavement.
These beggars and vagabonds can be a nuisance and give an ugly look to the pavements in our towns. They are mostly seen on the pavement outside the railway station. They need to be shifted to homes for the destitute and homes for the aged.
The authorities concerned need to see to it that these less fortunate individuals are rehabilitated appropriately.
