MARGAO: The Colva Village Panchayat gram sabha passed a resolution to oppose the proposed Jetty Policy 2022 of the Tourism Department.
The Tourism Department which had extended the deadline for submitting objections and suggestions for the policy until October 31, had earlier asked that the policy be placed before gram sabhas for their feedback.

Various committees were also formed. Carmo Rodrigues was also elected as the chairman of the Biodiversity Management Committee. Eulojo Gomes was elected as the convener of the Village Development Committee.
