FATORDA: Fr Agnel Multipurpose HSS, Verna emerged champions of the Salcette Taluka U-17 boys Subroto Mukherjee football tournament defeating Our Lady of Rosary High School, Fatorda 2-0, organised by at Astroturf ground, Fatorda, on Monday.
Melroy Marua and Johan Misquita netted a goal each f in the 29th and 59th minutes respectively.
Fr Agnel Multipurpose HSS Verna now qualified for South Goa district level.
Meanwhile at Uguem ground, Miracles High School, Sanguem won the Sanguem Taluka zone after defeating Government Higher Secondary School, Sanguem by a solitary goal. Shennoy scored the winning goal.
