PANJIM: Amidst the ongoing acrimonies debate over Medium of Instruction (MOI), singer Hema Sardessai on Sunday appealed Union Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar to protect State’s mother tongue Konkani.
Sardessai was performing during the ‘man-o-logue’ with Parrikar organized by the Rotary Club of Panaji.
“I would like to dedicate a song in Konkani to bhai (Parrikar)….I am confident that bhai will protect this language,” she said.
Sardessai singing Bollywood and Konkani songs she appealed people to “save Goa. She is a part of the group that is been demanding special status for Goa.
