MAPUS: Sports Authority of India (SAI) Veterans and Moira Veterans registered a hard fought victories to move into the quarterfinals of Morjim Veterans Football Cup, at Morjim ground.

In the first match, SAI Veterans got better of Chinchinim Veterans via the tie-breaker sudden death 8-7. The scores were 0-0 at the end of regulation time.
In the tie-breaker, Bibiano Fernandes, Jerose Oliveira, Vicky Sharma, Remy Colaco, Venancio Gonsalves, Krishna Shirodkar, Shailesh Miskin and Benedict Fernandes converted for SAI while Rosario Dias, Inacio Cardozo, Jerry Fernandes, Marcelino Pinto, Presly Pereira, Selwyn Fernandes and Nikita Lobo were on target for Chinchinim. Bibiano Fernandes was adjudged man of the match.
In the second match after the goalless draw between Moira and Arambol Veterans. In the tie-breaker, the Moira keeper manage to save two shots of Arambol Shekhar Kerkar Caitano Cardoz Henry Fernandes and Nelson Fernandes converted their kicks for Moira while Seby Rodrigues and Bernard Fernandes were on target for Arambol.
