MARGAO: The former deputy Chief Minister and Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai while reacting to the Union Budget 2021 has said that the BJP does not understand Goa and does not care about Goa.
He said that the Rs 300 crore Budget allocations for the Goa’s Liberation Day celebration is not the priority for our State which is facing its biggest debt-crisis in our modern-day history. What Goa earnestly needs is a stimulus package for the local Goan industries and sectors which include traditional occupations, manufacturing, agriculture and pharmaceuticals. Tax incentives for Goan owned tourism operators, immediate mining relief for Goan owned firms too.
