The Governor, extending her wishes on Goa Liberation Day has appealed to law enforcement agencies to take serious note of crimes against women and girl child, which are alarming. “This undesirable trend badly affects the image of the State and the country,” she said.
Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar has appealed people to continue to maintain and foster peace, communal harmony and friendship.
Extending his wishes on Liberation Day, he said that State has immense potential to become a highly developed State.
“Goans are highly educated, intelligent and enterprising people who are receptive to progressive ideas and meaningful innovations in the governance system and public life,” he said.
