DONA PAULA: Goa Forward (GF) MLA Jayesh Salgaonkar on Tuesday said that developing Saligao would be his priority.
Speaking to the media, Salgaonkar said, “I will ensure that basics are in place. I will work on protecting the heritage sites and natural springs which have been neglected and also develop the roads which are currently in bad condition.”
Asked on supporting Congress, Salgaonkar said, “Congress is divided and I came to know this recently. They were not able to finalise their CLP leader and they wasted time in that as many of their candidates are chief minister aspirants.”
Minister Govind Gaude said, “Though I am a new candidate and a first time minister I have the experience of working for the people. With the help of BJP I will develop and fulfill all the promises made by me to the people of Priol. People have put faith in me and I will work had to protect their interests.”
