Like many senior executives who have been featured in this section, Kevin believes there is nothing like a good workout to start the day. Up at 6 O’clock, he leaves his residence at 7 for the property based in Candolim. Victor hits the gymn at the property four times a week and does cardio as well as weights. It releases the endorphins that helps him handle the challenges he has to inevitably face every day. He has no fixed hours, it all depends on the season and the State of play on the day. His weekly holiday is usually on a Thursday since the weekends at the hotel are like a thrill-a-minute hit.
Kevin like many of his generation likes to listen to soft rock and slow rock. Though as a father of pre-teens he is now forced to listen to music of a more recent age. Deep Purple, Guns and Roses are favorites though it s not unusual for him to listen to bands like Nickleback thanks to his daughters. In terms of movies he likes thrillers and action genre. The fast and Furious series remains a favorite. He was surprised when he went out and watched My Greek Wedding and was pleasantly surprised.
His hectic schedule does not allow him to indulge in that other passion, reading books. He likes to read fiction by authors like Robert Ludlum. However when he is at home, his wife does not allow him to read. her argument being that his job takes him away for so long during the week and perhaps whilst at home it would make sense to devote time to the family rather than reading books. Unlike other senior executives he has not traversed the world. Demands off the academic year of his children and work have ensured his travels are few. He has traveled to Bengaluru, Kerala on a holiday with the family. Next year perhaps a trip beyond the borders of India beckons.
For someone who likes to keep fit, he enjoys his food. Pan Asian, Japanese, Korean and yes some Chinese too. Amongst his favorite restaurants in Goa, he likes frequenting Talasha, Fiesta and Goechin.
Like many senior executives he would like to see himself move up the corporate ladder in five years either within the company or perhaps somewhere else though it may be a while before he even thinks of moving away from this assignment since he took up this job in December. Tougher assignments with greater responsibility is certainly on his horizon. And yes he would like to visit Singapore, Hong Kong with the family.
