Hospitals need to follow medical ethics

India has the best hospitals with world class equipment, facilities and enviable infrastructure, however these are only some of the essential requirements. An inescapable requirement is humanisation of the care concern – cure process. Hospitals need to exhibit sincere concern for patients. Constant counselling and discussions on choice of treatment is of utmost importance, any deficiency here could lead to legal hassels. Most hospitals start with the good intention of service to society but over a period of time, these hospitals turn into money-making establishments that are run like business enterprises where patients take a back seat. When investors pump in money, least concern is shown towards medical ethics.
