The BJP has completed its one year in power at the centre. However loudly they may boast that it has been successful, the ground reality is as same as it used to be during the UPA rule or worse for the common man. Mr. Modi started with bang by promising the moon for the common man by
coining slogans like ‘aache din aane wale hai’, ‘saab ka saath, saab ka vikas’, ‘swaach bharat’, etc. But the common man is now kept wondering whether the slogans like ‘aache din aane wale hai’ was meant for them or for himself. He certainly has been globe-tottering while touring around
17 countries in just one year. No doubt, the good days will come for the rich with bills such as land acquisitions are pending while the poor farmers keep on committing suicides.
His ‘saab ka saath, saab ka vikas’ has certainly not gone the way it was proclaimed with the minorities feeling more threatened than ever before by the RSS and it organizations with their plans such as ghar wapsi. Christian Churches were attacked all over the country while he choose to stay silent for a long time there by putting wind in the sails of the miscreants. The recent ban on beef made a mockery of eating habits of the minorities. ‘Swaach bharat’ started with a bang but slowly fizzled out without any significant change in the cleanliness of the country. The prices of essential commodities like fruits and vegetables especially onions which were promised to bring down has instead sky rocketed. The rate of dollar against the rupee has remained the same as before. The prices of petrol have been increased. So, instead of heaping false praises of accomplishments on themselves the Modi government should actually start working for the common people of India.

BJP & Congress at it again
We have again the dumbing down of political dialogue between the main two parties, the BJP and the Congress. How the Congress can ignore the massive scams that came to light in their rule is something that defies imagination? Manmohan Singh by claiming that he personally or his family or associates did not make money out of any political scams is not exactly purifying himself akin to a dip in the river Ganga since looking the other way while his ministers were making money hand over fist is also a crime.
In the US and UK if you are involved in an accident or see an accident and do not give assistance to the victims, then it is considered a crime. So also is Manmohan Singh complicit along with his ministers in the CWG, 2G and more so in the Coalgate scams.
As for the BJP with a middling performance in the first year why they should conduct so much publicity and spend so much money is not understood, since the same money could have been spent for the welfare of the people. Have we already come to a pass that political parties can do what they like and the common man has to remain silent?

Margao fair
The most popular fair in Goa is underway and thousands flock to Margao to make pre-monsoon provision in the blistering sun, but the question is after collecting hefty fees from the stall owners by the MMC there is no arrangements made for the public and the stall owners for temporary toilets nor that is any provision made for fresh water to get a relief from the heat.
Can MMC explain what precautions are taken to avoid stall owners and staff using the open public areas for urination and other human waste. There are hips of garbage collected on the road sides why MMC did not provide garbage bins at a very corner. MMC needs to be proactive and provide the basic facilities for sanitation to avoid any out break
