God save my Goa!

The boneless tongue is the free gift of God to us, humans. It can be used the way we want and a lot good, bad and ugly has been said using the same regarding the death of a great Goemkar warrior, Fr Bismarque Dias.

Only God, the creator knows the truth. I am not an expert to comment on the cause of death of the great warrior but one thing is very much certain that his death is mysterious and a great loss to our mai Goa. From day one of the police investigation regarding the said death, looked like the Old Goa police intended to bury the case before the burial of Fr Bismarque. The panchanama was not conducted in a competent manner and just by listening to the story told by two boys who were seen with the Father prior to his death; the Old Goa police concluded the case as a case of drowning. The Old Goa police miserably failed in their investigations. The chief minister of Goa stated that he was personally monitoring the case. Was he monitoring or interfering? It is due to the public pressure from some corners of Goa, the man who earned the chair as a lottery handed over the case to the Crime Branch.
Sometime ago, Nigerians blocked the road at Porvorim demanding justice for their murdered colleague and Goa Police failed to take control over the violent protest by the Nigerians but when our own people protested demanding justice for Fr Bismarque at Panjim ferry point, the Goa Police violently handled the unarmed Goan protestors including senior citizens. Shame on the Goa Police and shame on the politicians who till now did not speak a word against the said police brutality. Really don’t intend to blame the entire Goa Police. There are good police officers in the department but sadly most of them are remote controlled by politicians in power.
Fr  Bismarque was a warrior. He always respected and loved God created nature. His fight against the environment destroyers was his only fault. A complaint with regard to the threat for his life was also filed at the Old Goa police station and Old Goa police showed no interest in the complaint. A very sad state of my mai Goa. Our daughters are been raped inside the school premises and nobody bothers. Now Goa’s warrior sons started to die mysterious deaths and the concerned authorities don’t even bother to carry out thorough investigations. Is our government for the people? By looking at the present state of affairs I can only say, Goa save my Goa.
