Although a computerized model could have been simulated and thus have resulted in how the world would shape up as with no greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, and though it might now be like a science fiction prediction, still it would be prudent to analyse what the world will be without greenhouse gases, much that such a possibility seems a thing of the distant future.
First of all, what would the world be without coal-fired power plants that emit the highest amount of greenhouse gases as well as blast furnaces and smelters not emitting that 9 to 10 percent of greenhouse gases as well as all forms of transport being either driven on electricity or hydrogen fuel cells thus there being no use of petrol, diesel, kerosene, and aviation turbine fuel with even planes powered not by ATF but by other sources of energy such as even cryogenic engines. The composition of the air would mean that it contains more nitrogen gas, more oxygen and thus having no pollutants that would have caused respiratory illnesses which in the present scenario is a large contributor of deaths and disease in the world. With more oxygen our respiratory system would be efficient and very healthy with oxy-haemoglobin in the blood leading to people with vibrant health conditions that are now the premise of distant islands where there is no greenhouse gases being emitted and thus gardens of Eden. The extra nitrogen gas in the air would also mean that an inert gas would make our system less susceptible to diseases of all kinds. Also accidents that occur in coal mines would cease.
Now let us examine the impact of no greenhouse gases on the environment. If heat trapping gases are not in the environment, then temperatures throughout the world will decrease considerably resulting in lower levels of evaporation and thus reduced occurrence of flooding due to excess precipitation. So while heat waves would be considerably reduced, the effect on pressures and temperatures differences might also lead to lesser velocity of winds that cause cyclones, hurricanes, typhoons and thus could save the earth from death and destruction due to these violent storms. How do you achieve an environment with no greenhouse gases? The coal used would be replaced by solar panels, wind turbines, hydro-electricity and nuclear power with high degree of safety standards. It is now known that rare earth minerals are in plenty to allow a transition into this new coal and petroleum products free regimes. With successive COP climate agreements not being able to thrash out decrease to greater extents of emission of greenhouse gases, it should be projected here that it will lead to absolute control on the earth being a model of what it was before the industrial revolution. This essay is not to portray only a grandiose model but to send a message that mankind and the world could reach that era of a golden millennium which science can bring about for the total benefit of mankind.
