The revised timings will apply to government and private schools as well as institutions affiliated with all boards, including CBSE, ICSE, IB, UP Board and others. The administration has instructed school authorities to strictly adhere to the order.

The decision comes amid persistent cold wave conditions and poor visibility caused by dense fog, which has disrupted normal life in the region. District officials said the move is aimed at protecting students, especially younger children, from harsh weather while ensuring continuity in academic activities.
