A hit-and-run incident in Hyderabad’s Old City late Friday night left a 28-year-old man critically injured. The accident occurred around 12.30 am when Sunil Kumar was returning home on his motorcycle after meeting friends to celebrate the Sankranti festival. According to police, a speeding car hit his two-wheeler from behind, causing him to lose control. Local residents said the car dragged Sunil Kumar and his motorcycle for nearly 50 to 100 metres after the impact. CCTV cameras installed in the area captured visuals of the car dragging the bike along the road, which are now being examined by investigators. Nearby residents rushed Sunil Kumar to a private hospital, where doctors confirmed that he sustained severe injuries and remains in critical condition. Police have registered a case and are working to identify the vehicle and driver involved.
