Kerala poll officer attacked by dog during voter list verification visit

A Booth Level Officer (BLO) in Kerala was injured after being attacked by a pet dog while visiting a house in Kottayam to distribute voter enumeration forms as part of the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. The woman officer sustained serious injuries to her face and neck after the dog bit her multiple times.

She claimed that the homeowner released the dog on her during her official visit. “I was on SIR duty in Pakkil, Kottayam. While on duty, I was bitten several times by a dog. The injuries are making it hard to continue the survey,” she told ANI.
