In a major breakthrough for Indian security agencies, two of the country’s most wanted gangsters operating from abroad have been arrested. Officials confirmed that coordinated efforts by multiple agencies, including the Haryana Police, led to the arrest of Venkatesh Garg in Georgia and Bhanu Rana in the United States.
Rana is reportedly linked to the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang, which has been under intense scrutiny for its involvement in organized crime across India. Authorities have initiated the process for both criminals to be deported to India soon.

According to officials, the arrests have also exposed the extensive international network of Indian gangsters who continue to run criminal syndicates and hire local recruits from overseas. More than two dozen key gangsters from India are believed to be currently based abroad, directing illegal activities through digital communication channels.
Investigations revealed that Venkatesh Garg, a native of Narayangarh in Haryana, has over 10 criminal cases registered against him in India. He was allegedly involved in the murder of a BSP leader and had been recruiting youth from Haryana, Rajasthan, Delhi, and other northern states to join his operations.
Officials said that the joint operation has provided vital leads on the modus operandi of these transnational crime networks, marking a significant step toward dismantling their influence.
