PONDA: Around 200 workers of PWD Labour Society gathered at the residence of PWD Minister Ramakrishna (Sudin) Dhavalikar demanding regularisation of their services, on Sunday.
Later, a delegation of four employees met Dhavalikar to press for their demand and the minister reportedly told them that their files with respect to their demands have been processed and sent to the chief minister’s office.
Addressing to media later, the PWD employees said that they worked for the past many years with PWD, but their services have not been regularised. Some even worked for more than 15 years and are nearing retirement.
It is learnt that there are around 1200 employees waiting for regularisation in service. Many employees said that they would not get benefit of the seventh pay scale as they are not regularised in service.
