PANJIM: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Goa is gearing up for the 2019 Lok Sabha polls and Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar will commence visiting constituencies from January 13 onwards.
His first visit will be in Canacona taluka where corner meetings and a public meet are lined up. Party sources said that the CM will thereafter cover the remaining constituencies ending his visits in May.
“CM is likely to visit all the constituencies from January 13 to May, except on the days when the Budget session of the Legislative Assembly will be underway in February. However, on which date the other constituencies be covered has not been finalised,” a source said.
The party has already begun strengthening its base at the grassroots and ministers and MLAs are already holding meetings with karyakartas at the party head office and their respective district offices, twice monthly. Last year the party had taken up the initiative of ‘booth vistar yojna’.
