What the AAP did in Delhi should be replicated in Goa. For too long Goa has been exploited by the two major parties to the detriment of the state. Although I am not a Goan, I have a long-abiding love for the State and its people and have always wished it well.
I think there is no point in launching another regional party but the Goa unit of AAP should be revitalised by the inclusion of people who have the good of Goa at heart.
It is my personal appeal to Dr Oscar Rebello to take an active part in this initiative. Another eminent doctor, Dr Jack de Sequeira, was instrumental in Goa achieving its own identity and not being merged with Maharashtra. Now is the time for another doctor, Dr Oscar Rebello, to accept the need for better government in Goa and join/help AAP. He did yeoman service while leading the GBA. Let him know that his efforts were appreciated in other parts of the country too, hence this appeal by a non-Goan to help Goa turn over a new leaf.
