PANJIM: Taking serious note of the posters of Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) suspended Delhi minister Sandeep Kumar in an objectionable pose put up at several places across the State, the party’s Goa unit has threatened to file a police complaint objecting the same.
The posters, which show Kumar in an objectionable pose with Arvind Kejriwal-led party’s symbol, have been put up at prominent places in Panjim, Margao, Ponda, Vasco and Mapusa.
“AAP for Women’s Empowerment” and the broom symbol have also been printed on these posters.
Kumar was arrested in Delhi after he was accused of raping a woman.
“I suspect BJP behind such act. BJP rules and governs the State, they should see to it that proper inquiry is conducted into such acts,” Aam Aadmi Party Goa Convener Valmiki Naik said.
Stating that the party will file formal police complaint, Naik said, “Aam Aadmi Party condemns such a cheap act. We won’t mind people criticising our developmental work or policies but someone stooping down to such a level is unexpected.”
Naik said, “Resorting to putting up such posters is the worst example of politics.”
The Aam Aadmi Party began its ground work in Goa for the upcoming State Legislative Assembly election where it has decided to contest all 40 seats. The first list of the candidates will be announced by this week.
