CORTALIM: Sancoale Sarpanch Ramakant Borkar was on Monday brought the panchayat for an inquiry into the file pertaining to the occupancy certificate of Ramchandra Halwai, who is believed to be the father of the complainant, Munnalal Halwai.
The ACB sleuths of the Vigilance Department also inquired with Panchayat Secretary Sandhya Shirodkar on the date of the application for the occupancy certificate, the resolution adopted and the reason for not issuing the same. Meanwhile, it is learnt that Borkar was on Sunday taken to his residence at Sindolim and some files were taken into possession by the ACB sleuths.
