‘Aim for 50% green energy by 2030’

Goa produces only 50 megawatts against the demand of 750 megawatts.

BICHOLIM: Appealing to locals to install solar panels to fulfil their electricity needs, Power Minister Sudin Dhavalikar said that the government’s aim is to produce pollution-free energy by 2030 by cutting down on traditional electricity by 50%. He was speaking at the ‘Ujjwal Bharat Ujjwal Bhavishya’ program of the Central government in Bicholim.”This will reduce the stress on demand for traditional electricity and will save on bills.
