Amendment to Lokayukta Bill introduced in House, to be functional by March end
The Goa Lokayukta (First Amendment) Bill, 2013, that was tabled in the House by the Chief minister, Manohar Parrikar seeks to introduce a section 19A, that gives the Lokayukta the power to punish persons found guilty, with jail term of between six months to three years and a fine of Rs, 50,000, which can extend to Rs one lakh.
