MARGAO: Archbishop Filipe Neri Ferrao on Tuesday thanked the government and Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, acknowledging the collaboration and support that the Church has received from the government in the discharge of its educational apostolate.
Fisheries Minister Avertano Furtado, who was seated in the audience, also received a pat from the Archbishop for his support and encouragement to the apostolate of education. Speaking at the All Goa Catholic Educational Institutions’ Day celebration organised by the Archdiocesan Board of Education at the Ravindra Bhavan, here, the Archbishop conveyed his profound thanks and appreciation to the Chief Minister for the listening ear and satisfactory solutions that he has given to a few of the long-standing needs and demands of the Church, especially in the field of education.
