The area around the Santas Almas Chapel at Old Market, Margao was flooded with monsoon waters due to clogged drains.
Pedestrians and two-wheeler riders had to face inconveniences as the area around the Chapel was inundated with water as the drain was found choked with garbage and other waste
It was only after the Municipal workers cleared the drain, that the water level receded, brining relief to the pedestrians.
Incidentally, though the monsoons have reached the half way mark, many a drain in the jurisdiction of Margao Municipal Council is being desilted by the authorities.
