PANJIM: Arihant Ship Breakers, who are accused of having left a substantial portion of the River Princess hull below the water surface off Candolim beach, is scheduled to make a presentation next week on its plans to complete the removal of the grounded transhipper, according to sources in the monitoring committee set up to oversee the exercise.
That a portion of the hull measuring 180×40 meters is still lying at the sea bed had been brought to light by the National Institute of Oceanography (NIO) Dona Paula. “This presentation will throw light on how the agency now proposes to remove the remaining portion of the vessel,” said a committee member.
