BAGA: Jagannath Gadekar (45), one of the three victims in a major fire incident that occurred three days ago at Baga, succumbed to his injuries at Goa Medical College, Bambolim late night on Monday.
A portion of the residential house located near Ratna bar and Restaurant, Baga, was completely gutted in fire due to a suspected LPG cylinder blast.
The post mortem of the deceased was carried out and the body was later handed over to the family.
Gadekar’s widow Vishranti and their daughter Divya were discharged from GMC on Saturday after treatment.
According to dying declaration of Gadekar, on the occasion of Diwali, they had lit a lamp and the fire from which spread and engulfed the LPG cylinder resulting in the blast. He said that while saving his wife and daughter he suffered serious burnt injuries.
