A five-day air show hosted by Aero India, country’s most prestigious air show scheduled at Bangalore from February 9 is expected to affect some flights from Bangalore to Goa.
According to reports, Bangalore International Airport (BIAL) will be partially shutting down air space for almost five hours on a daily basis.
However, eight flights operate daily along the Bangalore-Goa-Bangalore route, while it is reduced to seven on the weekend.
Kingfisher operates daily four flights, morning and afternoon, on the Bangalore-Goa-Bangalore sector, Jet Airways in the afternoon Bangalore-Goa-Bangalore sector, while Indian Airline flies four times in a week.
Sources at Dabolim airport informed that they have not yet received any intimation about the air show.
“Even though if the airspace is closed in Bangalore, it won’t affect the departures flight from Goa, though there might be some rescheduling of arrival flights from Bangalore,” added sources.
