PANJIM: Coming down heavily on the BJP government, Bharatiya Bhasha Suraksha Manch (BBSM) leader Subhash Velingkar on Tuesday said the political scenario in Goa will change within a week.
He was addressing a BBSM youth convention organized for North Goa in Panjim, where nearly 1500 youth had gathered.
Calling BJP’s melavas a farce, Velingkar alleged that the government is luring youth by giving free talk time and internet data. He alleged that BJP hires 3000 people who attend every Vijay Sankalp Yatra.
“These people are hired so that they can attend their rallies one after the other and they are being paid Rs 600 for every rally,” he said.
He said that BBSM is getting a good response from youth and that the downfall of BJP has begun. “They (BJP) feel youth like you can be lured by giving Rs 100 worth free talk time,” Velingkar said.
