PANJIM: A bike rider was injured allegedly while escaping when stopped by a traffic cop at KTC circle in Panjim on Sunday morning.
One of the traffic police personnel deployed at KTC on observing that the bike rider was riding a mirrorless non-geared bike, waved his hand asking him to stop. Instead of stopping, the biker allegedly accelerated to evade the cop, however he lost control and fell on the ground and suffered knee injury.

“The bike rider fell down while he attempted to flee. You don’t have to run away from us, we are not your enemies. Don’t be afraid of any traffic police as we don’t put you in jail. Follow traffic rules and regulations and,” the traffic cop said.
However, the rider denied the charge that he didn’t stop and was trying to flee, he claimed that he fell as he couldn’t apply brakes.
