PANJIM: With questions raised at the failure to appoint an officiating Chief Minister for the smooth functioning of the State Administration, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Goa has asserted that the present arrangement is working well.
In view of delayed decisions on crucial issues like mining, several groups besides the Opposition parties have raised questions on why ailing CM Manohar Parrikar has not appointed an officiating CM. However, BJP does not feel there is any disruption in the State administration claiming that the Cabinet Advisory Committee (CAC) is carrying out tasks efficiently.
“The arrangement (of constituting CAC) is working well. I don’t think there is any other arrangement required,” Lok Sabha MP Narendra Sawaikar said.
