MARGAO: Opposition Leader Digambar Kamat on Monday stated that the revelations made by former senior counsel Adv Arvind Datar claiming that he did not object to notification of Mhadei Award before Supreme Court on clear instructions of Government of Goa headed by Dr Pramod Sawant has once again exposed the betrayal by BJP Government of Mother Mhadei.
Owning the responsibility, the Chief Minister must step down, demanded the Leader of Opposition.

“The BJP government must answer Who, Why and What stopped them from giving clear instructions to the Legal Counsel to object to the notification of Mhadei Tribunal Award before the Supreme Court,” charged Kamat.
“Cover-ups won’t work anymore. It is loud and clear that the BJP government sold our lifeline Mother Mhadei. I had moved a Calling Attention in the recently concluded Assembly Session as the government was not ready to reveal the truth. During the discussion, the reluctance of the government to put facts before the House was clearly visible. The government had disallowed our Adjournment Motion on Mhadei in the previous session also,” he said.
“I once again warn the government not to play with the sentiments of the people. The government must immediately give an explanation with actual facts and figures backed with documentary evidence on charges made by the former Senior Counsel,” stated Kamat.
