PANJIM: Building and Construction Workers Board met under the chairmanship of Labour Minister Rohan Khaunte on Friday.
Khaunte said that the board has finalised Labounet and an empanelled agency for imparting skill training, while Price Water Cooper empanelled agency has been appointed to guide the board as consultant to take the board schemes forward with standard operating procedures.
“Apart from revisiting all the previously discussed proposals, the model welfare scheme document pertaining to registration of establishments and workers was also discussed,” he said.
Khaunte said the other points of discussion included the designing of the BoCW portal by GEL, rolling out schemes & payment gateway for cess collections.
“Setting up of transit sheds at Municipality & Panchayat level along with measures for labour skilling were also discussed,” he stated.
