Burglars decamped with electronic goods and cash worth Rs 83,000 from a shop at Kaziwada-Ponda.
According to Ponda police, the incident came to light on Monday morning when shop owner Vinay Sawant opened the shop.
In his complaint, Sawant stated that cash Rs 23,000, two CCTVs worth Rs 30,000 and mobile hand sets worth Rs 30,000 were stolen. The burglars gained entry into the shop by cut opening the shutter. Police is investigating into the case.
Theft at Sirsaim
PORVORIM (HC): Grocery items and cash worth Rs 65,000 were stolen from a general store at Sirsaim in the wee hours of Monday.
According to Mapusa police, the burglars gained entry into the shop by bending the shutters of the general shop.
In his complaint, shop owner Udai Kamat stated that some thieves entered his general stores shop between 1 am and 6 am on Monday and decamped with 12 grocery items worth Rs 19,600and cash Rs 45,400.
Mapusa police rushed to Sirsaim with sniffer dogs, but could not get any clue.
