By-elections in Tivim, Pissurlem

PANJIM: The by-elections in the village of Pissurlem – ward 7, in Sattari taluka and in village of Tivim, ward 5, in Bardez taluka, will be held on November 30. The counting of of votes will be on December 1.

PANJIM: The by-elections in the village of Pissurlem – ward 7, in Sattari taluka and in village of Tivim, ward 5, in Bardez taluka, will be held on November 30. The counting of of votes will be on December 1.
The government has declared Sunday, November 30, as a public holiday for the offices situated within the limits of these two wards.  The holiday will be a paid holiday. 
The government has restricted three quart bottles of Indian made foreign liquor or foreign liquor other than beer and six bottles of beer for any person and three quart bottles of country liquor for any person, which can be transported from one place to another from 5 pm of November 29 to 5 pm and of November 30, and on December 1, from 6 am to 11 pm within the village of Pissurlem, ward 7, in Sattari taluka and in Tivim, in ward 5, in view of counting of votes of these wards. 
Similarly, all licensed premises for the sale of liquor and consumption of liquor located within these two wards will be closed from 5 pm of November 29, to 5 pm of November 30, and on December 1, from 6 am to 11 pm, being the day of counting of votes.
