Cameroonian National Arrested in Siolim with Cocaine Worth ₹1.1 Lakh; Linked to Earlier NDPS Case, Says Police

In a major breakthrough, Anjuna Police, in coordination with the Crime Branch, arrested Jude Boussari (44), a Cameroonian national, for alleged possession of 10.53 grams of cocaine valued at ₹1.1 lakh. Police also seized ₹6.81 lakh in cash during the operation conducted near Love Story Villa, Bammonwado, Siolim, on October 29, 2025.

The action followed a reliable intelligence input received by PSI Ramesh Harijan. Acting swiftly, the police intercepted a blue scooter (GA-03-BD-1164) ridden by the accused. Upon checking, officers recovered cocaine and cash in various denominations. The drugs and money were seized under a formal panchanama, and NDPS procedures were meticulously followed.

Police confirmed that the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) has been informed to notify the Cameroonian embassy regarding the arrest. The accused is presently in police custody.

Investigations have revealed that Jude Boussari was already wanted by the Crime Branch in connection with CB PS Cr. No. 85/2025, registered on July 18, 2025, under Sections 21(b) and 22(c) of the NDPS Act, 1985. In that case, he was identified as the supplier to another accused, Nambong Fred Karl (21), also a Cameroonian national, who had been arrested earlier with a commercial quantity of narcotics. A Look Out Circular (LOC) had been issued against Jude since then.

Police described the arrest as a significant joint success for Anjuna Police and the Crime Branch, marking progress in the crackdown on the foreign drug supply network operating along Goa’s coastal belt. Further investigation is in progress to identify other associates and the source of the seized drugs.
