Goa Traffic Police Launch Special Drive to Curb Violations: Strict Action on Drunk Driving, Helmet & Seatbelt Rules

The Goa Traffic Department has launched a special enforcement drive from October 28 to November 2, aimed at curbing major road safety violations across the state. The drive, conducted daily between 9 am and 6 pm, will see traffic police intensify checks and take strict action against offenders.

According to officials, the campaign will focus on drunk driving, riding without helmets, driving without seatbelts, underage driving, and the use of improper or modified vehicles. Enforcement teams will also act against no-parking and dangerous parking violations, as well as vehicles without number plates.

The department has urged motorists to adhere to all traffic rules and cooperate with enforcement personnel to ensure safer roads during the drive.
