CANACONA: In continuation of the efforts to supply water to all the residents of Canacona taluka, local MLA Isidore Fernandes convened a meeting of PWD (water supply) at its guest house on Tuesday.
Taking a stock of the plans of PWD to tackle the water shortage in some parts of the taluka, the local MLA suggested measures to overcome water shortage during the summer.
Reminding all present at the meeting that it was his fifth meeting with them and that uninterrupted water supply is his priority, he instructed the officials to send him a list of all the works related to water supply pending at different stages, which he said he would follow up personally.
The meeting was attended by PWD engineers Sanjay Raikar, P Ballan, Lester D’Souza and JEs.
