CARES Inspires Junior Innovators with Successful Summer Bootcamp

CARES, the “CODING AND ROBOTICS EDUCATION IN SCHOOLS SCHEME” by the Goa Government, integrates coding and design thinking into the curriculum to equip students with technical knowledge and creative problem-solving skills. This fosters innovative thinkers and skilled programmers prepared to tackle complex challenges and drive technological advancement.

CARES aims to prepare a generation for success in the 21st-century technical landscape by sparking interest in coding through accessible and engaging learning methods. This program inspires enthusiasm for technology and problem-solving, equipping students with essential skills for navigating an increasingly digital world.

In line with this objective, CARES successfully implemented a 2-days Summer Bootcamp that focused on “Junior Entrepreneur: Idea to Impact.” This immersive experience provided students with hands-on learning opportunities to explore the fundamentals of entrepreneurship, from generating innovative ideas to understanding how to make a positive impact with their ventures. Through interactive sessions and practical activities, students gained valuable insights into the entrepreneurial process, honing their problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills along the way. By fostering an entrepreneurial mindset at a young age, CARES aims to empower students to become future leaders and change-makers in their communities.

Learning about entrepreneurship at an early age can provide numerous benefits for students. It fosters critical thinking, creativity and problem-solving skills as they learn to identify opportunities and develop innovative solutions. Early exposure to entrepreneurship also cultivates a mindset of resilience and adaptability, teaching students to embrace challenges and learn from failures.

The summer Bootcamp, held on the 21st and 22nd of May, received a mind-blowing response from the students. Their enthusiasm and active participation underscored the event’s success, demonstrating a strong interest in coding and design thinking. This overwhelming response highlights the effectiveness of the CARES initiative in capturing the students’ imaginations and inspiring them to explore the exciting world of technology.

CARES is proud to announce that the summer Boot Camp was conducted across Goa in 24 schools, with each school hosting two batches per day. Engaging more than 700 enthusiastic participants in this immersive learning experience. The Bootcamp provided an excellent opportunity for students to dive into coding and design thinking, offering hands-on activities and interactive sessions.
