MARGAO: Two unidentified accused persons forcibly entered in the rented house of a foreign tourist at Ranwaddo, Betalbatim on December 26 and committed theft of currency (both Indian and foreign) totally amounting approximately over Rs 3.70 lakh.
Waren Ostroff from New York and residing in rented house at Betalbatim filed a complaint with the Colva police that two unidentified persons on bike approached Ostroff on pretext of asking address and entered his house and committed theft of cash Rs 1.70 lakh, 3000 US dollars and 200 pounds and fled.
A theft offence under Section 380 IPC has been registered by Colva police against unknown culprits and further investigation is being conducted by PSI Ritesh Tari.
