The Captain of Ports department has granted interim permission to temporarily relocate a casino vessel near the Patto bridge, as preparations are underway to induct a larger vessel into service. The move is part of operational adjustments being made to accommodate a new 112-metre-long casino ship, which is expected to enhance capacity and facilities.
Captain of Ports Octavio Rodrigues said the relocated vessel has been allowed to anchor near the Patto bridge until April 30. The temporary shift is aimed at ensuring smooth transition while arrangements are completed for the incoming larger vessel.
Authorities stated that the relocation has been approved on an interim basis, with conditions to ensure navigational safety and minimal disruption to river traffic. The development comes as part of ongoing changes in casino operations along the Mandovi riverfront. Further decisions will be taken once the new vessel is fully inducted and operational.
