CCP councillor Jack Sukhija has called for the cancellation of the Captain of Ports tender for the operation and maintenance of jetties, raising concerns over the proposed concession period and financial terms.
Sukhija questioned the provision for a 30-year concession, extendable by another 10 years, arguing that such a long-term arrangement could amount to a “virtual handover” of public assets to private entities.
