PANJIM: The Corporation of the City of Panaji (CCP) undertook a drive to cut the trees blocking street lights.
“Many street light fixtures were covered with trees and few stretches would look dark in spite of there being street lights, which was causing risks to the commuters and pedestrians,” said Panjim Deputy Mayor Vasant Agshikar.

CCP had recently received complaints from locals about public areas being too dark at night.
