PONDA: Unknown motorcycle borne culprits snatched the chain of a woman at Marcaim, on Friday.
According to sources, when the victim woman Maria was proceeding to her residence at Dutlewada in Marcaim, a motorcyclist and his pillion rider stopped by her, on the pretext of requesting her to guide them to the residence of a person in the village.
However, when the woman stopped the culprits snatched the chain from her neck and fled.
The woman immediately followed them on a hired motorcycle to get back her chain, but failed. The value of the snatched chain is estimated at Rs 60,000.
